If you have even a possibility of being wrong about the situation--and let's face it, Dana is no expert-- why wouldn't you play it safe and just say the rib could be fractured rather than refute it and say it was just a bruise on an old fracture..
Seems like he's going out of his way to discredit also rather than backing him up.. If your champ pulls out and says it's cuz he has a broken rib and can't cut weight, then you go with that, you don't say "nah, it's just a bruise guys".
