Josh Gross & Jeff Sherwood Podcast

Anyone listening to this ? You can get a little preview free but that's it

I used to like Josh & TJ back in the day

JimmersonzGlove - Fuck paying for a podcast when there is so much free content out there.

I must admit, I feel the same way.

When I first heard of this podcast, I was optimistic. As I spent lots of nights going to Indian casinos, back in the day in the Socal MMA scene, I wanted to hear an insider's perspective and relive my youth but just feel weird having to pay for a podcast.

I like the idea of fan-funded mma journalism but 1 podcast a week is not enough content.

Josh and Jeff are two OG's. I can only imagine how many stories they have.

I listen to quite a few podcasts and used to listen to the guys at Sherdog but I just can't see the business model working.

I loved Gross's old Podcast.. Couldn't wait for it to come back. It was free. Shame they're charging for the new 1

Josh is the shit. He's answered many questions for me on the air, but I ain't paying for no ones podcast.

I went to listen to them a few days ago, saw you had to pay and quickly dropped that idea.

2017 and paying for a podcast? Definitely won't last. Give it a few months, it'll be free with ads, like almost every other podcast.

Like both dudes but with the over saturated MMA podcast market it makes no sense to pay.  They should just do a pattern for fans and give them perks instead like bonus podcast and a special phone in number instead.

Not a chance I would pay for a podcast in this day and age, but it's a great marketing tool. "This is worth paying for"

If it was free, i'd listen.

I notice a few current / former Sherdog staff seem to have gone down the Paetron route recently.

TJ Desantis has a production orientated podcast, Jordan Breen does one about old TV shows and of course there's the one from Sherwood and Gross.

My guess is they are all trying to follow in the footsteps of another Sherdogger Jack Encarnacao, who has done quite nicely out of his WWE-orientated 'Lapsed Fan' podcast.  It's getting over $1800 a month in donations.

I loved Josh and TJ back in the day on Beatdown. Aside from the irritating ads it was a great show and they had plenty of high profile fighters on there.

Just get some sponsors and do some patreon episodes, the models already out there. I was going to listen to it when they announced it but I ain't paying for a podcast.

patreon is not a business model. It is a tip jar. They aren't doing the show cause they want to make it their full time job.
