Nice. I guess you like drawing small?
I do like drawing small...I should write up an artist's statement or something explaining it. lol. For one, I love trading cards, and from my very first MMA artwork, I've always made everything in the same proportion as trading cards. But more recently, I've started actually drawing the size of the actual trading card.
I feel it's really good practice, and it's also an added challenge. I can work more quickly if I want to experiment with something. I've been doing a fair amount of experimenting with different color combinations, on different colors of paper. This way I can get a drawing done in a couple hours and decide whether or not I'd want to use those colors or combinations again. For instance, I like the way these colors work, I'll definitely use these again. But the Kharitonov I did last week, those colors just don't quite work the same way. So I'm glad I only spent a couple hours on a smaller drawing rather than wasting more time on a big piece.
yeah I've been staying awfully busy. At least a couple per week
Very nice, do you sell them or?
I just started drawing again a couple months ago after literally years away from it. I'm currently working on getting a website up and I plan to sell prints, trading cards, and I do commissions for originals. I've got some prints and trading cards of my older stuff available...including autographed prints of Rutten, Lindland, Elvis, and one more Evan Tanner. The guy who won the Tanner on ebay never paid up :(

I would be interested in a shogun and a wandy in the same colors as that KOS one.

Koscheck is certainly not my favorite fighter...that said, I'm creating a collection here. I don't only choose my favorite fighters as subjects, I try to get just about anyone who's near the top, or has some distinction that makes them a good subject. Ultimately I plan to do another trading card set. Sometimes my choice is quite random. I picked Josh at this time because this photo seemed like it would work well for the materials I wanted to use.
Respect man.... U have mad skills!
Nice
Good drawing. Terrible choice of fighter though.
