Just as I predicted.   Neither looked very good.  Just powerful.

They gave us the fight of the year for the heavyweight championship and you say, "Neither looked very good?" Do you prefer the one sided matchmaking of the PBC so the A side can always look good but we're never entertained?

they looked like warriors

Joshua faced adversity unlike any before and stayed calm under fire, Wlad battled to the end even after being dropped three times

I agree, I thought it was great.

Sexton Hardcastle - That stoppage fucking sucked. Boxing is the worst.

He was fucking done.

Was an odd stoppage. If he stopped it after the second knockdown that would have made sense but to let it go and then stop it a few seconds later when Joshua was was missing all of his punches was odd. It's especially odd given that Joshua essentially punched himself out earlier in the fight.

Vlad, like many other dominant champs from the past, seems to have finally earned his respect in his twilight as he was fading as a fighter.

Finally all the "glass chin" and "no heart" stuff is proven false IMO. He took some BIG shots that have easily flattened other HWs and kept trying to recover and win. Im glad others can finally throw some praise on the guy as he seemed to be the most unnecessarily hated champ in boxing history, or at least was in that Mighty Mouse zone.

"Jab jab grab" was something all former tall champs with speed used as a strategy (including Ali) so it was lame of boxing fans to hate on Vlad for it.

The Wlad from this fight would have destroyed Tyson Fury. For the life of me, I still can't understand why he never let his hands go in that fight. He just refused to engage and lost his title.

Am I missing something? He was out on his feet and it counted as the 3rd knock down in the round? I was drunk so maybe only 2? He was getting lit up in that round...

He had already been knocked down twice in the round. He was on queer street before the round even began. No point in letting Joshua tee off uncontested for the last 45 seconds. That's an ETERNITY when you're hurt.

Incorrect. Wlad needs to be set to throw, Fury boxed well, constantly moving and feinting. It made for a boring fight but it worked.
Fury is not given the credit he deserves. You're telling me a 41 year old with an 18 month lay off is better than the Wlad that fury fought?

I knew these type of comments were gonna appear. The Wlad fury fought was shot to shit. The Wlad who gets beat by AJ is the best he's been in years.

Wlad was still reluctant to throw the right hand. He had AJ hurt and he was already gassed. He was there for the taking and Wlad let him off the hook not pressuring him more.

He was absolutely hurt. I would have stopped it after the 2nd knowdown but the ref didn't and Joshua went on to miss virturally every punch after that. It's just off timing. Either stop it after the second knockdown or if you are going to let it go, wait till he gets hit again before stepping.

It was a good stoppage. Actually it was great. It was stopped exactly when it should've been. The torch has been passed. AJ is the man. Wladimir is an all time great and after that war we don't have to hear any of that retarded ass "Wlad has a glass chin" bullshit.

That uppercut in the 11th was pure evil. How Klitschko stayed standing is beyond me. Reminiscent of Lennox/Vitali.
