I feel bad for this guy, but I was child. I have no clue who he is, we are in our 40’s and he still worried about something I said when I was 12. Obviously kids say dumb things. I don’t feel I should apologize.

Eh, maybe apologize and send him some warm vibes. Mental illness for some people is a motherfucker and our current cultural climate is just making it worse for them. Unless you’re getting significant red flags, look at it as an opportunity to do some significant good in the world. Just my opinion.

I have mixed feelings on this. Did you bully everyone and therefore can’t recall this particular kid? If so, you’re an asshole and should apologize for being such. If you were just a regular kid who said some mean shit off-hand and have no idea what this guy is talking about. Then he’s just weak and you’re not obligated to apologize.

One of my brothers suffers with his mental health and is always hung up on shit that happened or was said to him over 20 years ago. When he’s good, he laughs about it but in the down times he reverts straight back to it.
I wouldnt delve into what was said because it doesn’t matter, you were kids. Give the guy a short apology, it won’t mean anything to you but could mean the world to him. It seems ridiculous but some ppl are just wired differently.
