Judo/Full Contact classes in Burlington

Bushido Judo School of Durham had it's grand opening of it's new Dojo on the corners of 6th and, Main Street in Burlington, NC.

Sensei Darian Stokes (4th degree black belt) runs the Judo classes and, teams up with Jose Luna to instruct the Full Contact classes.

Luna is a black belt in TKD and, has Muay Thai training, with kick boxing experience.

You may also notice that we have a floor raised off the main floor. It's a platform on top of tires and, the tires make falling much easier on the body than the typical mat on concrete found at most schools. They absorb the force of the throw, or takedown.
Our previous school had 2 inch think Dollumur mats on concrete, which were great, but the absorbtion barrier of the tires is outstanding.
We are going to get some flexi-roll, or other roll-out type mats to put on top of the platform in the future, which should give us one of the most safe and, comfortable mats to fall on.
