Judo in Samsun tonight...

Pretty sure Stevens is competing in this one. Haven't checked the pools yet. Will tune in live for as long as I can stay awake.

Here are my picks by weight class Iwant to win, not necessarily who I think will win:

60kg: Smetov (KAZ)
66kg: Oates (GBR)
73kg: Ungvari (HUN)
81kg: Stevens (USA)
90kg: Magomedov (RUS)
-100kg: Gasimov (AZE)
+100kg: easily my least favorite weight class to watch, so I'm going to pick Krakovetskii (KRG) by virtue of the fact that he's from a country where it's acceptable to kidnap your wife.

I pick in 100k Maret (FRA) and 100+k Okruashavili (GEO). 90K I have no pick. Watch the German kid in the 81K Finals Alexander Wieczerak. He is a future 81K star. Former junior world champion. The real deal here. Stevens lost in repechage and Hanna Martin is fighting today in 1 hour for Bronze 63K.

Boring 81K final. Wieczerak didn't take it to his teammate. Hanna Mrtin injured her right knee from an osoto/kosoto combination from a 17 yr old (lefty also). Hope it isn't serious. My picks are are in the finals for 100/100+k. The German (Odenthal)in the 90K finals is very tough. I'l pick him to win the Gold.
