and the olympic judo level vs. high school wrestling was a good post too.

i think it was tom lawlor that posted once before about how he would like to learn judo to add to his skill set but there aren't many olypmic level judoka's that are going to be training MMA. Remember when Lyoto's karate style was unstoppable? should be interesting to see how how long it takes people to adjust to such a high level judo base

I'd always prefer to see a judo throw than a wrestling style TD. Apart from a good slam they're way more exciting and seem to have the potential to do decent damage as well as being a transitional tool. Makes me wish I'd kept it up as a kid instead of giving it up to join the boy scouts :( Phone Post
