Julianna Peña chatted with Shaun Al-Shatti and dropped some comments on the last TUF episode. Among others, she said she doesn't have extra respect for Ronda said she would cut weight, and also remarked that Rousey was to blame, as she was feeding Gutierrez with hamburgers. Finally, she weighs in on Ronda's reaction, when she beat Miesha:
"Ronda is mean. She's a mean girl, so no. I have respect for her as a skilled fighter, and I have respect for her because she's very good at what she does. I think she's amazing as an athlete and amazing as a judoka girl, but no, it's not like I have more respect for her just because she said she was going to cut weight".
"She sat there feeding Anthony hamburgers and being like, you're going to be a finely tuned athletic machine. Then in the next episode it's like, maybe you need to lay off the burgers. Well you're the one giving him the burgers, and then you accuse Miesha of it being her fault (when Bollinger missed weight), and how weak she was for not taking credit for it, saying it's 110 percent the coach's responsibility. Well is it 110 percent Ronda's responsibility that Anthony didn't make weight because she's sitting there feeding him burgers the whole time?"
"I was embarrassed that Ronda acted like that in front of Miesha and her whole team, and made her probably feel like crap for losing. And I was embarrassed for Ronda that she would go to lengths to continually flip her off and say, f--k you b---ch! Oh man. She should be embarrassed for herself a little bit. I don't know, maybe not. But she did that shit in the middle of cutting weight. And that guy who's name I already forgot gave up. That is nobody's fault but his. And Ronda still took credit for it.

At first I wanted her to watch this show but it has been nothing but a disappointment. I wanted her to see the discipline of martial arts at an early age but clearly Rhonda is no role model. I don't want her learning how to be a super bitch in JHS so plug is pulled.
My 10 year old daughter is into judo big time. When Ronda first got on the scene I bought her mags to read interviews etc, she had the posters up in her room and whatnot. I strong female judoka rolemodel we both thought.
We have been watching the show together and she now knows Ronda is a twit. Acts opposite of the things my daughter knows about sportsmanship and being a champion. There is one Ronda poster still on her wall, she has defaced it, writing loser where it said winner and drawn mustache and black eyes. I have to laugh at how good a kid's judgement can be.

what a disgrace huh? Rousey could have been a super role model for boys and girls alike. instead we find out she's got mental problems and is a TWIT.
Tell your daughetr nto to give up hope yet. there's still awesome role models out there in the MMA world as well as other sports. Good thing se realizes what Rousey is doing is wrong and sets the wrong example.
