I agree that they seem dangerous, assuming that you mean jumping with a bar across the shoulders. Unless you're a really advanced athelete I think the risks outweigh the benefits.
thanks for the input, do you know of any links where i might be able to see a video or a detailed description of how to do these right? are they just like back squats with jumping added?
Chad Waterbury did an article on jump squats and I believe there is either another article on explosive push ups or it's in one of his training routines on the site.
