Just installed a WD 80GB

7200 rpm hard drive with an 8mb cache. I paid $50 for it after rebates and it definately added some pep to my machine over the 5200 rpm that was in there.

Not a bad way to gain some performance for $50.

oh yeah, going from a 5200 to 7200 RPM drive is a great way to add some performance to your system. Depending on what system you have other good ideas for some people are increasing RAM, and getting a faster CPU (that's still supported by the motherboard)

I just bought that exact same drive a month ago.... no complaints so far. (paid around $100 CND though)

boxing are u from canada

Nope, USA. I picked up the drive at Best Buy.
