It was closer than I remembered! I thought Robbie won more convincingly than he really did..... It's probably because I'm a fan and I don't like Rory. But I'm nervous for this one. It could go either way in any way and I'd not be surprised.... Rooting for Ruthless by KO tho
Both guys have gotten better since they last fought. This is going to be an excellent rematch.
Yeah I'm worried too, man. I love Robbie and can't stand Rory. I wish Lawler would catch him and put him to sleep but I don't know if that'll happen.
I think Rory will take it unless his nerves beat him.
The first fight was close, but I thought it was a clear 29-28 for Lawler. Had it been five rounds, who knows, Rory could've easily won 48-47.
This one is a toss up. Definitely pulling for Robbie but could go either way. Hope Robbie finishes him this time.
I'm thinking Rory is going to fight his fight this time and win with his takedowns and GNP
It was a super close fight, I remember thinking Rory might sneak it at the time.
You're all in my boat then.... We all feel the same basically
With or without sound???
mdrndaysamurai - With or without sound???Don't ask silly questions.....of course It was off
I just rewatched it:
Surprised at the split decision. Robbie outstruck Rory by a large margin in R1
Rory did much better coming forward than I remembered.
Robbie did not defend the takedown well. Rory was able to complete takedowns with consistency.
Rory looked tired in the 3rd. I didn't remember that.
Rory was comfortable in the pocket and moving forward. He took damage while he was backing up. He was timing Robbie's attacks pretty well.
Robbie is a violent man.

How crazy is it that Robbie is still improving after each fight at this point in his career? Love that guy. Going to be an awesome fight. I just hope there is a clear cut winner.
Great post OP. I was rooting for Robbie big time when watching live, but I didn't understand some people saying he "destroyed" Rory. The rematch should be sick.
Smitty925 -Agree with everything you said!StrikingMMA - Both guys have gotten better since they last fought. This is going to be an excellent rematch.

Maybe a part of the reason we are seeing big improvements in him this late could be that for a period of time he stagnated and perhaps didn't have the passion that he seems to have found during his current UFC run.
Maybe gave him a new lease on life and went back to learning and passionately applying himself.
Whatever the reason it doesn't matter to me i just love it.
The way he was staring down Hendricks after the final bell was epic!
To echo your sentiments i hope there is no controversy!
It was close on the cards, but if the fight was scored on damage, Robbie clearly won it. He smashed Rory in the 2nd round from memory. With that said, I think Rory will win the title. He's only getting better and better and I think now is his time.
R00STER - Yeah I'm worried too, man. I love Robbie and can't stand Rory. I wish Lawler would catch him and put him to sleep but I don't know if that'll happen. It'll happen buddy don't stress ruthless all the way
