I heard it's good and that they put in both the subtle creepy scares, and the big BOO! scares. But if you like one type of scare but not the other, then you might not enjoy it. However, I haven't watched it yet to know how accurate what I heard is

I enjoyed it. It has some jump scares in it, but most of the scary stuff is based on atmosphere. Subtle nods in the background sometimes, and other times right in your face.

I thought it peaked before the finale, but I still liked it.

Good show. Lots of family drama mixed with spooks. It's well done so it's enjoyable. Decent pacing even if it's pretty slow.

Yeah, finale was meh, went for the feels over scares in that one, but solid right up till there. Great acting all around. Very well done and worth the watch for sure.

Have to watch from episode one, because the show features lots of seamless flashbacks and some scenes viewed from multiple perspectives.
