Dont know who Alexy Ignashov is but I feel sorry for the dude.
When is this on?
I fucking hate it that HDNet isn't available outside the US or even online. It's impossible to avoid spoilers in the time it takes for k-1 events to be uploaded on the torrent sites.

What a noob !
Le banner & sponge ? damn !
Don't know who Alexy is? Damn. That's kinda... well... unbelievable.
Ignashov is a total bad ass of a kickboxer. Not to be taken lightly by anyone.
But LMAO @ Overeem taking a step down in competition.
Justinmacd - Overeem will break his hand or something and have to pull out vs Rogers.
Perfect timing for an excuse.

I wouldn't feel too sorry for him, considering the last time they fought Hari got KTFO. Ignashov also has wins over Schilt, Remy, Aerts and has never been knocked out. He had the potential to be one of the very best but just seemed to lack the mental discipline and dedication you need to get to the very top.
Hari should take this yeah, but I wouldn't be feeling sorry for anyone,
Easy first round byes for all the big names.
Zimmerman no chance against Schilt. Should've had Hari rubbermatch.
LeBanner - Spong should be good.
Jaideep has no business at this level yet. Looks like a boy fighting a man in there.
2TALL4BJJ - Easy first round byes for all the big names.
There are no tournament fights on the card.

I figured it would be since they called it the Grand Prix.
Regardless, still easy wins for all the favorites

Spong/Lebanner is interesting

Ignashov is the biggest waste of talent in K-1 history. He had it all - size, youth, talent, technique... And he was putting it all together so beautifully, so early in his career. He was expected to be not just a perennial top contender (without question) - but a multi-time Champion.
But he pissed (or reportedly, drank) it all away, and never became the consistently dominant force he was supposed to be, or still stay. He suddenly deteriorated and started losing to guys he should have destroyed, showing sluggish performances and poor conditioning, and no longer resembling the top prospect in the sport - who had already been among the top contenders in K-1, and still seemed to have even more potential left.
If Iggy had actually lived up to that potential, there would be no need to "feel sorry for the dude" now - and his matchup with Hari would be a true Superfight. (Especially since he'd already KO'd a green Hari several years ago.)
Ignashov was also the only guy to have ever KO'd Schilt (although this was before Schilt went on his juggernaut's run), up until Hari did so last year. Iggy at his best has (or at least had) the ability to beat ANYONE - he just hasn't stayed at, or further maximized, his best for the last several years.
Wasn't Badr Hari wanted by police...
Btw, Aerts now has a chance to win his 4th K-1 Championship - albeit the 220 title is not as significant as the GP. And if he beats Kyotaro (which he should), he will join Hoost as the only K-1 fighter to ever win titles in two weight classes.
All while almost 40 years. The Lumberjack has been the Ironman of K-1.
Overeem's last fight in K-1 and they put him up with... some guy who I don't know and whose name I can't pronounce?! Weak.
