Karo fights tomorrow in Bellator

It's been a year since his loss to Rick Hawn. Never heard of his opponent (Ron Keslar) but from the looks of things online Karo is not favored to win.

Nonetheless, nobody has ever brought as much attention to judo via MMA as Karo, and I'll always root for him.

He brought a lot of excitement to MMA with a judo background/skills. But there are no ippons in MMA with throws but some were spectacular. But he had to also endure a lot of punishment in MMA. Not sure what purpose it serves at this point to continue. I first watched him when he was 14 year old kid at the judo Nationals and took one of the 3rd places I think. Gokor was his coach.

The last fight I remember his performance looking good in was against Stun Gun--and I know a lot of people think he actually lost that fight.

I've watched his UFC fights, but don't think I've seen his other fights.

Got to watch him grow up in judo out here.  He was a good kid.  He beat my son once or twice in competition. He would do additional training at Mojica's and saw him there several times when I was bringing my son there for extra training as well.  He had the best judo of the kids who came out of Hayastan IMO. Really nice uchimata.

Finally saw the fight. Keslar won the first round IMO and seemed to be dictating in the second, up until Karo threw an overhand right that connected on his chin and put him down, ending the fight.

Good for Karo getting the W.

Nice clip.

Interestingly, he appeared as a "mystery guest" on Sherdog radio the other day. Pretty good interview as usual. Some funny stuff about how it was training at Hayastan as a kid among other things:
