How is she different than Rousey?

That would be entertaining.

Competing in a smaller talent pool IMO. WBW was tougher to cut through when Ronda did it than WLW is now for Harrison.

The promotion created a division for her. Bellator, UFC, ONE, Invicta, Rizin etc… none of them have a WLW division.

She got a division made just for her.

That said she is a great athlete and very skilled.

Said she would cut to WFW if she goes to the UFC.

She don’t cut much to make LW. PFL made the LW division for her because she told them she don’t like cutting weight.

She fought at 145 last year

Women’s MMA is such bullshit when chicks are cycling test & other stuff. At least with men, you have a natural source of test flowing, against roiders, where women hardly have any. Oily skin & big old nose, Adam’s apple. I don’t know for some reason it pisses me off more in the women’s division.

The women’s 145 lb talent pool is so small that fightmatrix has to combine 145 lbs and 155 lbs into one list just to be able to rank 20 women and those 20 women get to compete for 3 fucking belts… the Bellator, UFC and PFL belts.

Plus just to get those 20 women in two combined weight classes they still have to include women who have moved up from 135 lbs as well sot hey are not even true FWs.

There are three 145 lb women people want to see fight one another, Cyborg, Nunes and Harrison and they are as of now in three different promotions with three different belts (and two weight classes) despite the fact there is not even enough talent at 145 lbs to make a top 15 in any of the three promotions.

Hilarious talent pool compared to the men’s divisions.

Oh I get that. I’m talking stylistically why would we expect her to do better than Rousey did in her last two fights?

I have not watched all her fights but she is bigger and stronger than Ronda and seems to have better takedowns. Her knees are likely much healthier than Rondas who had major knee problems supposedly.

Do you think Cyborg/Nunes 2 would go any different than 1? Like in Nunes/GdR 2, I saw where GdR had advantages against Nunes. In Nunes/Shev 2 I saw where Shev had advantages against Nunes. I didnt see any of that with Cyborg and now she is older getting older.

It could go longer but I can’t see Cyborg winning, not in 2021/2022.

She’s much stronger (likely long term PED user), she’s also a better striker. She’s not technically good but tbh Nunes is not a technically brilliant striker. It’s hard to imagine any woman competing with her physically because she’s got Cyborg like physical advantages and she’s head and shoulders better than just about everyone in terms of grappling. I don’t see her being a break out star like Ronda. Her fights are not typically pleasing highlight reel tosses and technical finishes but rather a slam & physical mauling. As has been mentioned, she doesn’t really have a weight class and they are trying to figure out how to get her matches. What that usually means is making her opponents fatter to bring up their weight. Most female athletes are not heavy like that.

Valentina, Nunes, Germaine all wreck her.
