I really think UFC and other orginizations need a weight class (maybe Cruiserweight) for 205 - 225 lbs. There are so many fighters, like Ken Shamrock, who can't fight goliaths like Sylvia but really can't easily make 205 either.
This needs to be done IMO.
I agree.... that heavy weight div is very unfair. Thats why a lot of the great heavy weights dropped down to the 205.
By the way.... anyone know what weight Shammy is fighting on Saturday? The ufc website still lists him at 205, Im not believing he hasnt bulked up for this one. Kimo is pushing 250 or sumthin like that.

Cruiserweight is 190.
In boxing the heavyweight class starts at 191, and the UFC improved that system by making 205 the minimum. If anything they could move the superheavyweight minimum down, but they should keep the 206 minimum in place. Maybe they should make it 206-249
The 205 division is too good to start jacking with it. Especially since it is 15 pounds heavier then the boxing system.
Id think about lowering the HW ceiling, but in no way should they divide the HW divison in half like 206-225 or any of that nonesense.
206-249 seems doable and legit.
Ken easily makes 205 naturally
Boxing is a completely different situation. There is no grappling, which is where the weight really takes effect.
