Ken Shamrock...the Ecstasy dealer.

Another scar on my childhood. Apparently a tad before, throughout and after his WWE days Kenny was pushing E....idk

In his new book, — written by Jonathan Snowden of Bleacher Report — former WWE star Ken Shamrock essentially said he lived a double life while touring with the company. While he was The World's Most Dangerous Man at shows on the evenings, he was busy pushing Ecstasy onto the streets during the day. This was just one example of how the world of drugs practically overtook his life

The ex-WWE star has publicly been asked if a return to WWE would ever be in the cards, the man himself often wondering why WWE hasn't asked. And, considering what's old is now new again in WWE, perhaps it's his history pushing drugs that has WWE a little less-than thrilled with the idea.

In his new book, titled 'Shamrock: The World’s Most Dangerous Man', the former UFC star who turned himself into a legitimate pro wrestler before almost anyone else tried the transition, detailed how he started selling the drug Ecstasy while on the active roster. What's perhaps the most troubling part of how he describes that period of time in his life is that he found the power of the process thrilling.

The book shares in-depth detail about Shamrock's personal drug problems, and while he doesn't necessarily blame WWE, he notes that the habit got significantly worse while on the road with the sports entertainment company.

Essentially, Shamrock said he was living a double life. While performing as a wrestler at nights, on live events, and on pay-per-views, he spent his days selling the drug. Sometimes it didn't go as planned. In one story he tells, Shamrock notes he was scammed out of thousands of dollars by a "former gay porn star."

For fans who have found themselves enthralled by the Dark Side of the Ring documentaries, this book is likely a must-read. One of the more interesting notes is that Shamrock's deal with the author was that he wasn't going to share certain stories, but if Snowden could find the information on his own, Shamrock would cop to it.

Whether that ecstasy story was one of those stories is unclear.

I hardly ever read books but the last one I read was Jonathan Snowden's book on Randy Couture which I found absolutely amazing.

I might have to check this one out.  I recall a year or so ago Snowden was asking people in my circle questions about Ken so I know he does his research.

Interesting

I took E once. I was young and for whatever reason I thought it was a good idea to take it on the start of a long road trip in the middle of the day. About a half hour down the road it hit me. It was like a light switch went on or like I was hit with a tidal wave of fucked up-ness really. All of a sudden I'm freaking out, knowing there's no way I can drive 4 hours all messed up like that. I turned around and headed home.

The music on the radio felt like it was coursing through me. I turned that shit up and it settled me down somewhat. I made it home safely and just rode it out downing gatorades. Yeah, that was a stupid idea. I should've waited for a music festival or some shit. I never got any more E pills after that.

Was shamrock considered a good wrestler? I remember him being around when I first watched wwf but don’t remember any matches

This was not a good thing to do from a role model perspective.

Ken was a very good worker in pro wrestling.

He was pretty popular in WWE, one of the top guys but never the very top.

Wait, was this the first time you ever done them and were you on your own driving? Talk about doing it all wrong dude! Lol!

Maybe it was for the best, the longer you do those things the worse damage they do.
