Kettle bells good for Jiu-Jitsu?

I've been trying to make a routine that used movements that I thought would help its a constantly growing workout as of now Phone Post

Here's a flow that my BJJ guys like.

I like these drills for BJJ players as well.

100% of everyone I know who does Kettlebells have back & neck injuries

All of them certified KB trainers too. However, they always excuse it to something else, like BJJ or wrestling etc.

These are BJJ instructors, mind you, not students. Their students too are frequently injured (neck, back, wrist, shoulder, forearm)

holy shit, stop being a bunch of babies and go lift some fucking weights. I wouldn't join the maxwell cult and only do kettlebells for sure.

Do both.

A barbell is awesome for heavy lifting. Kettlebells are awesome for tabatas, etc. Why limit yourself either way?

Then everyone you know is doing something wrong. Either doing too much, too much too soon or just lacking in proper form. Phone Post

These are among the highest certified KB trainers in the region

So saying that they don't know what they are doing, or lack proper form would probably insult them badly

As I said, they ALL attribute it to something else, like BJJ or wrestling or boxing etc. But the commonality is kettlebells, and the injuries are all the same

You tried to make it sound like it's the Kettlebell training that hurt them. Maybe it is, I have no idea but with 100% of the people being injured something has to be going on, in the Bjj and Kettlebell aspects. What kind of club has 100 % of their people injured? Phone Post

They are instructors in their own BJJ clubs, who also have fitness and conditioning classes. All promoting kettlebells. Many for at least 5 years

They sound exactly like you, and still do while hiding their neck etc injuries from their "clients"

You probably haven't done it as long as them yet

I've been Kettlebell training since 1998. Started with Bjj blackbelt Steve maxwell at his academy in Philadelphia.

Kettlebells weren't even available commercially at that time. Steve had a client of his make him a set. I'm the current owner of those bells.

You can keep blaming the tool. I'll blame the coaching and the programming. Phone Post

LOL @ saying kettlebells are the cause of the injury.
