August is roughly 15 weeks away. Should be decent movement in the WW division by then. Must take a while to recover from that surgery if he wants that amount of time before he can fight

That’s why you strike when the iron is hot because you never know! Once they cancelled his 4th fight and moved it back so he could fight Leon it was over. Should have just let him keep rolling for a while.
Too bad, hope he comes back and doesn’t skip a beat.
For all the people that whined and cried that Dana just wanted a new face in the Middle East or that he was overhyped and not tested blah blah blah
Bottom line was he was new and fun and his approach was a breath of fresh air and he was great fun to watch for that month. If he ultimately doesn’t end up at the top, so be it. Everyone was too far up their own ass just to sit back and enjoy something different.

I didn’t care about Dana hyping him, but I wanted him to keep rolling too. It was fun, and he was putting on performances. Would’ve been easy to book him against top 15 or higher up top 10 instead of waiting out to get a top 5 opponent…but I guess Dana was afraid someone nobody knew would potentially derail the hype train, whereas there’s no shame in losing to the #3 ranked guy in your fourth ufc fight…would’ve slowed down the hype but maybe not derailed. And if he won he would’ve undoubtedly gotten a title shot
