Norifumi "Kid" Yamamoto starts his bid to wrestle in the 2008 Olympic games by competing in the 135 lb division at Emperor's Cup today. Also the guy he KO'd in 4 seconds with a flying knee, Miyata, is competing at 163 lbs as well. I believe his performance here will determine if he goes on to the Olympics, unless there are several other tournaments he needs to win.
No kidding, Miyata is 32lbs heavier than Kid?
Kid must be shredded if he cut down to 135. If he just dropped water
weight, he's gonna have a HUGE advantage in the strength department.
Kid has never been very big. Even when he was fighting 155 lbers he weighed much less than that. Part of why he is so impressive to me.

This is wrestling, he is NOT going to have any sort of huge advantage over his opponents. They are all there for a reason and are not going about making weight much if at all differently than Kid.
