Kids-only tournament (Richmond,VA)

US Grappling presents the nation's largest Children- and Teens-only grappling tournament!

Junior Nationals of Submission Grappling and BJJ

What:  U.S. Grappling's Junior Nationals
When:  March 24th
Where:  Richmond, VA (The Showplace)

Registration is now open!  http://www.usgrappling.us/events/richmond03242007/index.php

US Grappling recognizes the problems children and teens face with most tournaments.
We will try to address those issues with this tournament:

1. Usually all children are entered at the same skill level, so schools only bring their most accomplished students.

=>We are welcoming all skill levels and will have several divisions.

Divisions will be based on age, weight and skill level.  We will even have a no-submission division for children and teens with under twelve months of training experience.  Competitors that have been training for more than 12 months will be entered in our advanced division, where submissions will be legal.

2. Usually tournaments focus on the adults, and the children's divisions are an afterthought.

=>This tournament focuses only on children and teens!  We will even hold two exciting superfights featuring the nation's top-ranked junior grapplers!

3. Competition should be fun, not intimidating.

=>We believe that every child who competes should feel like a winner!
Participation medals will be awarded to all competitors.  We will also hold drawings for bikes, Nintendo WII systems, and many other exciting prizes!

Pre-register and save money!  It's $45 for one division, and only $10 per additional division if you pre-register your kids.  Registration will be live soon at www.usgrappling.us - stay tuned!

Additional exciting features of the tournament:

All team coaches will receive free admission and have open access to the concession tent.

More announcements are coming soon!

Featuring our first ever kids superfights:

Matthew Talley (World Class Martial Arts- 2x East Coast Grappling champion, 2x Grapplers Quest champion)

vs

Cedric Bryant (Team Lloyd Irvin- 5x Grapplers Quest Champion, 6x NAGA Champion, #2 RATED Grappler in the Country 2006)

Got several kids.... do you have someone interested?  I actually have one at my school (www.revolutionbjj.com) who would be novice and one who could do advanced.

Mike Moses has a kid named Pedro who's really good at 145.  Lloyd Irvin has a ton of kids and teens.

Cool!

Will you be checking IDs? Cause I lost mine, but would like to compete.
