kimbo getting almost knocked out at 2:30 is funny. Kimbo kneeing Gannons balls was nice too at 3:00. All them body shots Gannon landed really killed Kimb's cardio. I really enjoy Gannon's pre movie debut as Lotney 'Sloth' Fratelli at 8:26 and 10:29. Excellent clinh work with elbows from Gannon at 9:07.

I think at around 2:22 mark after Kimbo has landed some hard shots, that would have usually KO's most of his previous opponents, he realizes he is in for a tough fight.
Those repeated body shots by Sean were really effective.

There were arguments, I guess Kimbo's crew didnt realize you could go for submissions on the feet and thought that as long as there were no ground fighting that they wouldnt be an issue.

Seeing Kimbo's pimp running around always cracks me up.
I posted about this before. I left class in college to watch this in the library (I think I paid $10 to see it) with some random dude that was really ghetto...but cool. When I clicked I got super loud volume porn bombed and it wouldn't go away. I had to switch computers I was so embarrassed. That mfer didn't give a shit, he sat there and watched the porn until the lab tech turned the computer off.
Great fight and great memory. I remember thinking I was being trolled up until I saw it and there has been nothing since that has lived up to the hype the same way Kimbo Gannon did.

Gannon won the fight...but Gannon's face lost the war. Looked like Rick Baker did his make up lol.

That fight was originally setup to prove a point... that a professional fighter with actual pro-boxing experience would badly beat Kimbo - a mere 'street thug'. But Kimbo proved he was legit. He lost because of cardio (and misunderstandings about rules). His opponent was badly beat up and hospitalized after the fight (iirc, an overnight stay) - while Kimbo went out and partied. It was Kimbo who got famous from that fight.
Been a long time since I watched that fight. I had forgotten how tough that fucken Gannon is. He just refused to lose, he was ready to fight to the death if he had to. He has a true warrior heart, can't fake that shit.

Some just don't understand fighting. If someone looks better after a KO or submission loss, that only means the victor is merciful, nothing else. A KO winner could easily render his opponent unrecognizable or even dead. Do not mistake kindness for weakness.
"He lost because of cardio..." He lost because he didn't know how to fight as well as his opponent, end of story. The true answer to that question is answered inside the first minute, where Kimbo gets legless after a CRUSHING straight left, starts holding on for dear life, and immediately ends up in a guillotine he has no answers for. Under any other circumstances that is a sub or an immediate DQ for his friends jumping in. So the answer to the above question is "under a minute".
