"Kings of NY" Grappling event NYC

sup guys.  Jerry here.  Just wanted to let you guys know that Aggressive Combat Sports will be holding a

grappling competition in NYC.  Gold, Silver, and bronze medals will be awarded.  championship belts will be awarded to winners of the

open weight division in gi and no-gi

Championship belts will be sponsored by KTFO

Registration is $40.  that's it. just 40.  you can move up one weight class from your original class and

one skill level from your original.  You can also compete in gi and no-gi at no extra cost.

Open weight Tourney is open to all competitors.  however, you can only compete in either gi or no-gi.  if you want to

compete in both, that would be an extra $20.  for more info email Jerrymendez@acom-sports.com

 

? Single-elimination tourney (1 loss, competitor is out of the Particular competition except for 3rd
place matches)
? No striking, biting, eye-gouging, pinching, hair pulling, or spitting
? Competitors are not allowed to stick fingers in opponent's mouth, ears, or nose
? No small joint manipulation
? No attacks to groin or front of throat (larynx)
? Heel hooks will NOT be allowed in the beginner's division
? Slams from the guard are not allowed
? Intentional stalling while standing, will result in:
- 1st time: Warning
- Each time thereafter: 2 points awarded to opponent
? Tapping the mat or your opponent with your hand indicates that you submit
? You may also submit verbally to the referee
? If you tap out/submit, you lose
? Any indication of submission by fighter must be made obvious to the referee
? All decisions by the referee are final
? Rule violations, intentional fouls, and unsportsmanlike conduct will not be tolerated and may
be grounds for disqualification and a loss

POINT SYSTEM
? Throw where opponent's feet pass his/her hips: 4 points
? Takedowns: 2 points
? Knee on stomach: 2 points
? Passing the guard: 3 points
? Sweeps from the guard: 2 points
? Full mount: 4 points
? top North/south position: 3 points
? Cross side: 2 points
? Rear mount: 4 points (both hooks must be in)
? Opponent stalling: 2 points (See stalling rule)

TIME LIMITS
? Novice & Beginner: 5 minutes
? Intermediate: 6 minutes
? Advanced: 7 minutes
? Open: 10 minutes

DIVISIONS
? Gi and no-gi divisions
? weight classes:
- Men's Jr. Lightweight (144 lbs. and under)
- Men's Lightweight (159 lbs. To 145lbs)
- Men's Welterweight (160 lbs. To 175 lbs.)
- Men's Middleweight (176 to 184 lbs.)
- Men's Light Heavyweight (185 to 199 lbs.)
- Men's Heavyweight (200 lbs. to 249lbs.)
- Men's Super Heavyweight (250 lbs. and over)

? 4 experience levels
- Novice (less than 6 months)
- Beginner (up to 1 year training)
- Intermediate (1 year to 3 years training)
- Advanced (Over 3 years training)


** Competitors can move one weight class up from his/her original weight class
*** Competitors can move one experience level up from his/her original experience level
****Competitors can compete in Gi and No-Gi at no extra cost

guys this is gonna be a great event.  Still working on the venue.  This event will be a lot of fun.  the rules are great for all grappling arts.  judo, sambo, bjj, wrestling...etc.  and there will be championship belts in the open divisions.  gi and no-gi.  belts sponsored by KTFO.
