dont twist one way while your training partner turns your knee the other! Seriously, follow the old rule, if it hurts, DON'T!
Just do squats and other left lifts well.
Build muscle to protect your knee.
Don't crash to the bottom in the squats. Go down slow and stop then come back up.
Stretching is good.
Eat fruit and veg.
