there was a knee thread about two weeks ago. one poster had a link to a doc that was recomending 5,000mg of glucosamine twice a day. anyone know about this? that is a lot of glucosamine!
he claimed improvement in meniscus health confirmed by mri.

I have heard of treatments in which glucosamine helped, however, I think the question you need to ask is why things are wearing down in your knees in the first place. Let's say you have a scab and you keep picking at the scab. Not matter what kind of supplements you take to help healing, it won't heal until you stop picking at the scab. So the best thing would be to stop picking at the scab and then possibly take some supplements to help the healing. I think the same concept applies to situations in which there is wear on the joints.
