As a former reporter, I can see how MMA was relevant to the story since the victim told family she had been injured in fights.
Still reflects poorly on the sport and is a good example of the sorts of jackasses who are attracted to the power dynamic created in cultish TMA studios. MMA has no barriers to entry (anyone can open a school without any rank or experience,) so we can only expect more of this trash.
If they never have what it takes to actually compete, isn't it really accurate to call them MMA instructors. If a guy claims to be a football coach and is molesting kids, and it turns out he never played football, and none of his kids compete, and he doesn't even understand the game enough to coach at all, wouldn't you just call him a fake football coach?

Taz Styles -Is this his mugshot? If so it's even more infuriating. Look at that smug face...he looks like a classic sociopath who thinks he is a step ahead of everyone else... The story was gut wrenching...and his snarky little photo makes me all the more upset with his existence.

We always hear "I hope what he gets in prison...." How common is that to happen?

Wow!! I hope his fellow inmates treat him with the same disregard that he treated his girlfriend. I hope someone breaks out all his teeth so they have a soft hole to put things into. I hope he's never able to comfortably sit down for the rest of his life.
This is the kinda of guy that's frustrated because he's a bitch. If her were able to fight a man he would. He can't so he teaches karate and tries to impress little kids and soccer moms. Then when his weak ass gets home he beats he woman so she knows how tough he is. This guy should be given to the girl and her family to do what they want. If they are good people who don't want to hurt him, give him to the UNDERGROUND. That way he can pay for his sins.

Well I know of a guy who molested a 3 year old girl having his scrotum opened up before he made it all the way to his cell.
The girl's Uncle was in that prison.
Odd that Kirik never made a thread like this regarding a rapist teaching MMA and BJJ. Or said rapist having a rapist running his kids program.
