Hey guys I recently posted this video and I was wondering if any of you have had this same issue with your Koral pants.
I've contacted Koral and sent them this video so I'm hoping to hear back from them as well.
P.S- the website will be live soon!

ive had my koral mkms since 2004 and havent had even the slightest problem...but i heard they may have changed their product since then
I wear nothing but Koral MKM gis and train 6 days a week...never had an issue.
They lasted 3 years.
Everything eventually tears up. Is this news?
Can someone confirm the Classic and MKM is the same Gi minus the patches?

Do tell.
HOLY SHIT, while my mkm gi has held true for about 4 years, the patch on my pants flies like a banner on a samurai clan in the middle of a civil war. .....BUUUT I love koral, and the pants on the light gi are awesome and the koral light gi feels great. Love koral, but I don't know about the mkm gi pants.
I don't see a problem with the tearing in the pants. I bought my Classic 4-5 years ago and my pants look just like the one in the video. With tears along the major seams and various parts around the knee area wearing thin eventually tearing. Its just like whenever you weld, the welded bead becomes much stronger than the material around it. The seams on the pants are very strong and they won't come apart but the material does. Also where the knee area has doubled up on the fabric and the area around the knee padding is single thickness, that is also a place that will see the first signs of WEAR. This is simply NORMAL WEAR. You even said you had the gi for 3 years, that's a fair amount of time imo. If the top was tearing fairly early or the seams themselves were coming apart fairly early I might agree but its the fabric itself tearing after years of wear and tear.
I love my Koral, that thing has gone through MANY hard training sessions.

koral= overrated gis imo
having owned a classic and an mkm, i can say that ive worn better gis at considerably cheaper prices as well as being more comfortable and durable
at the end of the day, its just a gi to me, thats why i have no brand worship when it comes to gis, as long as its plain, cheap, comfortable, and durable, then thats enough for me.
3 years is a very reasonable life expectancy for gi pants, IMO. 6 months to a year and you deserve a new pair.
^^ for gi pants? not if u rotate 3 gis properly. u should get at least 2-3 years out of the 3 before anything major happens
my koral MKM has held up just fine (i have the same model as you). i'm not sure how the newer model holds up though.
my only issue with my MKM is the fit of the pants. they're the tightes A1 pants I've ever owned. I'm almost certain that it's an A0 mislabeled as A1.
Gi's should never rip like that though. I hope JJprogear helps you out!

Thanks everyone for the comments and for watching the video.
I heard back from Koral today and wanted to share their response with you all to keep you in the loop. Just to be clear, I didn't ask them for anything. I wanted to know if they had any similar complaints and also at the same time make them aware of my video to be fair and give them a chance to respond. Below is their response.
Good afternoon,
After reviewing your video, we understand your concern and regard for
your Koral gis. Although, we must stress that you did not include how
to you took care of your gi. Like most products you buy, maintaining
the quality depends on how you take care of it. There was no detail of
3 year maintenance; how frequently you washed it, how often you put it
in the dryer, what kind of chemicals you used to wash it, and how
often you trained in it These are all key factors in how your gis got
this way. Koral gis have washing and maintenance instructions that
come on the tag at the time of purchase. This kind of video does not
reflect the reality of the product and brand. Koral has a strong focus
on quality and durability. This kind of video dispuits the Koral
brand. We consider this gi to be a result of reasonable to wear and
tear, but just by looking at the gi we would presume that the washing
instructions weren’t followed correctly. Unfortunately, the company
has no control over personal maintenance. Please consider this.

Just a heads up, I washed my Koral in cold and would hang them over the
back of a chair to dry. Also thanks to Koral for responding.
I'm surprised you went as far as a video and sending them an email on a wear and tear issue.
