Hi all,

I found the clip of Yagyu Shingan-ryu particularly interesting. This is the first I've seen of this school, and it really makes one wonder how anyone could claim this as a primary technical influence on Ueshiba's aikido. It's just so...um...well...uh...different. I assume this clip isn't Goto-ha, but there are probably enough similarities between the various lines of YSR that this can be taken as somewhat representative of what Ueshiba would have studied. Based on technical characteristics alone, one would probably have an easier time claiming Senegalese wrestling as a primary influence on aikido!
