The only reason Kos has "heavier" hands is because his technique is shit and he throws hayemaker right hands. Have you ever seen GSP throw a hayemaker? No you haven't, because GSP has way better boxing technique. I don't think KO's over Trigg and Yoshida lend any credibility to the claim that he has heavy hands. Until GSP starts throwing hayemakers, there's no real point in being able to say, with justification, that he has heavier hands than GSP.
Truth.
Haymakers worked pretty well against GSP for Serra though, just saying...
I really think Kos is going to be very methodical in this fight. I predict he won't try to move in towards GSP until he's lost the first 2-3 rounds. GSP on the other hand will put the heat on Kos. Kos isn't a very good counter puncher, so look for GSP to keep it on the feet and make Kos backpedal.
Serra didnt throw a haymaker it was all straight rights then GNP.

It's really neat how Serra was able to strike GSP's ear and the back of his head with those straight rights.
I don't think GSP's chin wants to test your hypothesis.
You're kind of contradicting yourself, Kos probably does have heavier hands but it doesn't matter how hard you punch if you can't land one.

Didn't you know Serra was facing GSP's ear.
kos also has a heavier mouth
TTT for GSP.

Straight rights ead up behind the head in your world?
Kos has natural punching power, imo. GSP has accurate technical striking.
GSP has only KO'd Hieron...
But who has Kos KO'd? Yoshida and Trigg? He's KO'd washed up or poor competition. You don't think GSP would have mauled them standing up?
And heavier hands means the ability to strike harder given the same striking position and duration of time punch thrown to time punch landed - who hit harder? I doubt Kos has an edge in overall punching power when combined with technique is all I'm saying.
Kos is going to get Bingo'd!
War Mir - I don't get it. It you throw a hayemaker and knock someone out isn't that perfect technique. You are trying to ko him and you do it. If you can't hit hard maybe your technique isn't great. Freddie roach said GSP was really stiff. He can't throw hayemakers IMO. <img src="/images/phone/post_tag.png" alt="Phone Post" border="0" style="vertical-align:middle;"/>
Show me when Kos knocked out a high quality striker with one of his hayemakers. I guess we'll just wait and see how his hayemakers work on GSP.
It's not a contradiction imo. People say he has harder hands based on what? Hayemakers? GSP doesn't throw them so does that means he has less power?
Anomonis - Lol dumb argument. GSP throws the superman punch all the time, how many boxers you see doing that? And he's never even KOed anyone with it.
How many people have you ever seen get KO'd with a superman punch? Its not a power punch its a feint.
The Goldberg Rogan praise of Koschecks improving stand up has really perpetuated a myth that hes got outstanding stand up ability.
Any joe can have KO power when throwing haymakers.

I think the superman punch is kinda silly myself. I don't think there has ever been an instance where a superman punch was thrown and wasn't announced by Goldberg, lol.
That being said, Kos' standup is super average. Yes he has decent power, but compare his standup to Thiago Alves' standup...
