Josh Koscheck  vs Tyron Woodley

MMA Fight Radio interview with UFC Welterweight Josh Koscheck :

“I actually broke my hand in training. It took about 6 to 8 weeks to heal. I am feeling good now the hand is good, everything is pretty healthy for a change. I have been training for a long time, this camp seems like it has been a whole year.”

“I know Tyrone pretty well. When he was younger I actually got the chance to train with him. He is a fast fighter. He is very explosive. From watching his fights you know he has got power in his hands, with that being said he is a good fighter. I think he is a little young. I think he doesn’t come to fight in great shape. One of the things I have noticed throughout his fight is that his cardio is lacking and I feel that is going to be a big advantage for me in this fight.  And the fights that he has lost, if you look at them: you know the fight with Marquardt he got very tired. Allot of those fights after the second round he is pretty sluggish.”

“For me I prepared to push the pace for 15min. and get in there and light this guy up and get back on the winning track. He is a good family man and a good fighter and I have nothing but respect for him. Come Nov 16 we are going to put that aside. There is only 1 guy who can win and I want that one guy to be me.”

“Obviously I have got to impose my game plan on him and put him in positions and wear on him and get him tired. I know he is probably training hard and I am sure he is focused and ready for this fight. I have got to go out there and implement my game plan and get this victory.  That is the most important thing for me at this point in my career. I just have to go out there and show the UFC that I am still relevant and can still win fights. I just want to win, that’s all.”
