King of the Cage returns to Soboba Casino Friday, June 9th with MANGLER. Once again, King of the Cage knocks out the competition with a fight card full of brutal mixed martial arts action. See 38 of the toughest warriors from southern California and around the nation step into the steel cage to dismantle their opponent.
In the main event, the ..1 King of the Cage Super Heavyweight contender and former King of the Cage Heavyweight World Champion Bobby Hoffman rematches the ..4 King of the Cage Super Heavyweight contender and Gladiator Challenge Native American Heavyweight Champion Ruben Warpath Villareal. These two warriors first met in 2004 at King of the Cage: HITMASTER, where Hoffman won the match with a first round arm bar. Hoffman, best known for his wild, brawling striking style, is coming off of a first round submission win in King of the Cage: PREDATOR RETURNS. Warpath, fighting out of Sacramento, CA, has been the more active of these warriors in the last two years, and is coming off of a hard-fought draw with mixed martial arts legend Don the Predator Frye in May. Both of these fighters are known to have hands of stone, and fight with a take-no-prisoners attitude. Unfailingly fighting only top-notch competiton, Warpath looks to show the former champion his improved fight game, but the ..1 contender will not give up his ranking without a fight.
Also in the main event, ..5 Welterweight contender Thomas Kenney takes on Hawaiis Bryson Kamaka. Kenney is coming off back to back wins, his last win a Lightweight contest against Shawn Bias, winning by submission in the second round at King of the Cage: FINAL CONFLICT. Kamaka, a veteran of Gladiator Challenge, fights out of 808 Fight Factory, and is making his debut in King of the Cage. Kamakas first fight in King of the Cage is against one of the top Welterweights in southern California, and Kenney intends to make it a disappointing debut.
