@jeremybotter: Kurt Angle is not fighting, confirmed. He’s doing something with Bellator but it’s not fighting.
disbeliever - I don't know how that mans body can even function anymoreIt really can't if you watch him move. The guy has been through the ringer quite a few times
Commentary? Would they have three in the booth? Or maybe they're bringing back Fight Master! I'm trying to think of other uses they'd have for him if he isn't fighting.

disbeliever - I bet a prime Angle would have done well in MMAIf he got into it right after the olympics he would have been one of the best in the world for damn sure. Even mid WWE career he could have transitioned and done very well

I haven't seen him wrestle in a very long time.
Well, I'm pretty sure I heard Dave Meltzer say this that the WWE has refused to sign him because Vince McMahon said he doesn't want an Olympian dying in his ring.
I'd love to see if there's a connection between Angle's announcement and Ken Shamrock's announcement. Angle said it was related to Bellator so it can't be him vs Shamrock in that wrestling promotion on Spike. TNA?
Maybe it's a Bellator/TNA cross promotional event.

Shamrock's last fight belong in TNA instead of Bellator, Kimbo just didn't get the memo before punching Shamrock in the face
pretty sure TNA isn't on Spike anymore
submit1337 - pretty sure TNA isn't on Spike anymoreI think they are currently without a network. They were on discovery Destination America but think it got dropped
Festus -They're still on Destination American but that supposedly is ending soon. Maybe Spike picked TNA back up?submit1337 - pretty sure TNA isn't on Spike anymoreI think they are currently without a network. They were on discovery Destination America but think it got dropped
Wow, it's even more exciting. Angle is going to be appearing at the Bellator Fan Fest signing autographs. Huge news there.
Please stop. A one dimensional wrestler with no additional training would be worse than Askren (no disrespect) but he would've been a novelty at best. It's called MMA for a reason.
I understand Vince's position when he says he refuses to watch Angle die in his ring... there is no quit in Kurt Angle. To a seemingly hazardous degree, actually. When he got injured, he just kept going... he'd just inject a ton of HGH & steroids, lidocaine/cortisone, and painkillers into his injuries, and go out and perform. At least that's the word from guys who worked with him later in his WWE career before they had to let him go.
WWE forced him to take time off for his injuries and get cleaned up. He refused, so they released him. Then he settles for TNA, they pay him and allow him to wrestle, but then they start getting concerned as well, and Angle gets inducted into their "Hall of Fame," and they're basically trying to coax & nudge him into retirement. Then I believe they forced him to go to rehab, and actually take time off to get surgery and heal up.
With that being said, in 2016, I don't believe any athletic commission would clear him to compete in a sanctioned professional MMA bout...

Don't think he's with TNA anymore

Bellator should have him fight Josh Burns in the future.
