Any of you Ky (or surrounding areas) OGers affected by the tornado? The videos and pictures of Mayfield are devastating. The death toll last night was over 80 people, and counting. Hope everyone is safe.
Here. Alive. Farm has damage but we’re lucky.
This wasn’t the thread I was expecting…
Glad you’re alright. I’m on the other side of the state and trees were being blown down left and right. Can’t imagine being in the 200 mile path of the tornado.
Safe here
All is good here, we got some pretty decent winds but the pygmy damage was one tree that fell behind the house. When I get better I’m going to have to cut it up and get it out of the way.
I live about 30 miles north of Mayfield in Ballard county. Thank God that tornado went south of us. My wife is a nurse and a coworkers husband is doing emt down there. Not good at all. The stories she told yesterday were terrible. In order to save a person in the candle factory they had to amputate both legs. I couldn’t imagine.
Literally got skipped over just got alot of wind luckily
Keep safe lads and let us know if you need help.
Biggest problem here were trees falling on power lines. I hate when the electricity goes out.
You and me both brotha…
My goodness. I couldn’t imagine that. I’ve seen several shots of the candle factory. It was absolutely wrecked. Any idea how many people were inside?
That’s insane. Glad everybody is safe dude.
We just had 180K winds a couple weeks ago. Working in a power plant, you basically sit waiting to get bumped offline.
And this absolutely. If you need any help the OG is full of good people who will help out.
In southeast Kentucky so we didn’t get anything bad. I’ve got family in Bowling Green but luckily they were out of town, going back today to see if their house is still standing.
A gas plant near me in alberta got tornadoed years ago. Wiped the plant. Not everyone got out but I don’t think anyone died. There’s lots of operator stories of hanging on to structures at 90 deg to the ground. Pretty scary.
I think they said around 100. I haven’t checked since yesterday but when they held a press conference at 10 am yesterday they said the last successful rescue there was at 330 am. Almost half of Mayfield is literally gone. Puts a new perspective on life for sure.
Damn, what a tragedy. Mayfield is wrecked. I haven’t seen much footage from other places.
I think I remember reading that Eskimo was from Kentucky. I could be wrong, but has anyone seen him post?
