KZ vs. Poirier was vintage PrideFC caliber

Beginning in the 2nd round, I was taken back to PrideFC between the action, technique, crowd response.
Shades of Sakuraba by KZ.
Poirier will be back better than ever.

Looked like vintage WEC to me but I see your point  ;)

That's racist Phone Post

If I'm applauding KZ's performance, how is that racist?

Certainly WEC was fantastic and the premier showcase for lighter weight divisions. But we both can agree that was a certain standard of incredible fights held in pre-Zuffa owned promotions for which we can use as a measuring stick.

Agreed, it did have a bit of a pride feel to it somehow. TKZ is very fun to watch, and hes definitely evolving in skill by leaps and bounds each time we see him.

kanodogg2 - vintage pridefc caliber? Pride is dead. That was north American rules. Comparison to failed mma org is moot. <img src="/images/phone/droid.png" alt="Phone Post" border="0" style="vertical-align:middle;"/>

Does every fight need head stomps and knees to downed opponents' head to be considered for a comparison to PrideFC?
You're probably going to flame away if I compared Henderson-Ruas to vintage PrideFC.

How bout pre-Zuffa UFC? Is that a failed ORG as well?

There is a certain level of RESPECT an MMA fan needs to show for the history of sport. Failed ORG or not, they contribute positively to the sport in one way or another.
