Lack of leader-type figures in MMA?

I've always noticed this and its puzzled me, why doesn't MMA have the type of motivational, leader type figures that are so confident its impossible not to listen to them, like a Ray Lewis type of person?

Is it because MMA is a lone wolf sport, and there is no reason to be a leader because there are no teams, or is that attitude not accepted by us as fans? (lots of us call them cocky and instantly hate on them) Because if you look at the champions of the UFC, they are all soft spoken guys/don't have much to say..

Opinions guys?
