Laziness in your game

Hey, Bolo can you describe the "laziness" of your game and how it can translate to no gi? I'm also the lazy type of guy, first of all cause I don't have the attributes for a "physical" game strength, explosivness etc. and second because I have some back problems and can't use bridges, twisting motion as much as I would like. I also found that the half guard suits this styl every well for me. Have you found smth. similar? THX

There is no translation to no gi. My game works the exact same way with gi or no gi- period.

As far as my laziness, my game does not depend on extreme flexibility. With my guard work, you won't see me pull my foot to my head or flip up side down. I don't run around, jump, flip, or spin when I pass the guard. My mount and pin escapes don't depend on bridging the opponent over.

I am also very lazy when it comes to the need to remember a ton of different techniques. I have a few core techniques that I stick with and those core techniques evolve with constant refinement.

I believe in proficiency in all major positions. So I don't find half guard to work better than any other position. If you do not have proficiency in all major positions, you will eventually roll with someone who excels in countering what you may feel you are specifically good at and then you will have nothing left to fall back on.

Can you clarify what you meant in these two sentences?

"I believe in proficiency in all major positions. So I don't find half guard to work better than any other position"

Why did you single out half guard here?

He said, "I also found that the half guard suits this styl every well for me."

Ha Ha White socks.... Your not funny.
