Is it worth to learn wrestling if you already feel comfortable with BJJ or Judo? If so how do you go about it? There are not many schools open for it to my knowledge.
What i did was find a good wrestler who wants to learn BJJ and trade knowledge. Not many wrestling clubs around.
i have a purple belt in bjj, and i just started wrestling two weeks ago. from what i have seen and what i will believe will happen if i stick with it, it will definitely help me. hell, its a lot easier to finish a guy from the top than the bottom, so why not learn how to take the top from the get go?
if you are in LA, Mark Miriles is teaching greco roman at bombsquad gym in west hollywood. its a beginners class, which sounds like it would suit you well.
btw, miriles has some extremely serious credentials including wrestling for Iowa under dan gable, being on the all-marine wrestling team, and trying out for the olympics in 88

You've summed up my thoughts exactly.
See, I'm the small guy (5'10" 165lbs) at our gym. I have much better luck from side mount than the guard.

Do not venture onto intersecting pathways in your pursuit to arrive at a destination, stick to the road that leads to your destination and learn all you can along the way from those who's path crosses yours...
checkuroil has bicep controlled then single legged the correct.
i'd also recomend learning to wrestle
look at pit using wrestling terminology.
now get in the sugarfoot stance
Wrestling is awesome.
If I'd learned wrestling before studying BJJ i would be twice as good now.
I believe that wrestling takedowns are the best around. It's definitely worth learning. I wish I had more knowledge on it.
You can't start your BJJ things without a wrestling takedown so I would suggest wrestling to learn how to get somebody to the ground.A lot of great BJJ'ers don't know how to get somebody to the ground without getting a beating beforehand.
