I have two horses that are tame and cool for strangers to pet.   Even though they trust me, I never do anything sudden or surprising to the animals.   Whenever I am near, I always have a hand on them to make sure that they know exactly where I am at all times.   They can strike faster than you can blink with deadly force.

I know a former NYPD cop who told me that the worst rough up he ever saw was during a St. Paddy’s day event where some genius decided to walk right up to the mounted unit and punch the police horse in the nose.
