Legal leglocks in bjj comp?

What are the leg attacks currently allowed for purple belts under the CBJJ rules? thanks

Straight foot locks only.

no kneebars for purples? you sure?

kneebars are broown and above only.

white to purple - just straight footlocks.

that is fucking ridiculous...I've been doing bjj for 7 years and I am a purple....guess I just don't know when to tap...glad they are looking out for my best interest....(rolls eyes)

Jsho and Jorx have Knebaahhhhhhd the correct

I think that's ridiculous as well... IMO one should add kneebars at blue and toeholds at purple... heelhooks... well... there's so much controversies...

Jorx. It's been that way for a while, no real reason to change it, means that at Purple you start training them more ready for when you start using them in comp at brown.

Other option is compete nogi.

When are calf/bicep slicers allowed?

Are hip cranks ever allowed?

I've never liked the weird rules for leglocks in gi competition.

Doesn't that mean that white belts could cross their ankles from the back, because the other partner isn't allowed to ankle lock? I don't think that rule encourages "good jiu-jitsu"....

leglock from back control is legal at all belt levels

twinkletoes. The leglock when you cross the feet is considered a straight ankle lock (even though I tore the cargtilage in my knee when I didn't tap to one)

The idea is to encourage guard passing and taking a controlling position whilst at the same time avoid techniques that cause a high percentage of injuries.
