GSP has been sitting on the sidelines while other men have been working to earn that shot. This is not about deserving or who's the best. This is about selling PPV's.
Stop trying to pretend there is a meritocracy that revolves around athletic achievement.
GSP has not finished a fight in over 8 years, he hasn't competed in over 3 years, he has never fought @ Middleweight.
Not only is GSP undeserving of the title shot, the move is anti-sport, anti-competition and really only pro-money.

bisping needed to defend against a legitimate opponent. henderson was a fan based choice and even thought i hated it, it's ok i guess. romero, souza, mousasi are in line now, not gsp.

I get why Bisping or GSP would do that. But the UFC? Unless GSP wins and then goes for a "Triple Crown" by fighting at LW against Conor which would be a super money fight and bring that Irish dude back from boxing to MMA... they gain short term PPV buys but discredit the sport and their belts. They bought the damn thing for 4 billions you'd expect they treated their investment with more than short term gains in mind!
