Leon just doesn’t have “IT” as a superstar, much less a star, period. The fight was what it was, but real stars can get the crowd back when they get on the mic. Leon had nothing. Despite his ranking, he’s just “some” guy, a black hole of charisma.
This fight was supposed to be a showcase for him and his “coming out” party. Leon dropped the ball at the one yard line! He’s not getting a title-shot unless they want another highlight reel for Usman.

Yeah he made it exciting in the end but just getting beat up to land that one thing when the opponent is sleeping at the end isn’t the best strategy. Against a Connor or those who will wilt by the middle, it will work but his game doesn’t work on the best at WW or LW.
Hitting back at the 11th hour will only do so much. He did shit all for 98.5% of the fight. I’m a Nate fan but he wasn’t in that fight for that %.

What are you talking about? Leon hit Diaz with plenty of shots that would have put most men on their backs, never mind the fact he opened him up on several places. He just refused to play into the Diaz game of ‘stand and bang’.
