I vividly recall watching this fight live on the undercard of Holmes-Shavers II back when I was 17.
What most people don’t recall is that there were several pundits & boxing insiders who thought Leonard’s people were making a huge mistake by fighting a tough, tricky spoiler in Andy Price just 6 weeks before he was set to challenge Wilfred Benitez for his WBC title. Some picked Price to upset Leonard. But, of course, they were all wrong as Ray hurt Price early & finished him off with a lethal display of combination punching.
