Lol
His movement would be amazing and his grab ass games in the park would be legendary Phone Post 3.0

WALES - A few months according to Nelson's FB. Phone Post 3.0

Sweet, so did they re-open the gym with the demon dogs and the Slayer logo on the wall? :)

Greg is the man. Well rounded guru who specializes in submission wrestling. Phone Post 3.0

WALES -
Biggorillabjj - Nah, he needs to train with some new people/coaches.
Why? Nelson coached him for UFC 100. That's Lesnar's best display. Phone Post 3.0
Very true. He was composed. His top control was amazing. Phone Post 3.0

Let's not forget Rodrigo "Comprido"'s influence as well. That's where he got the arm triangle choke he finished Carwin with.

That was Paulson.

He drilled it with Lesnar. Phone Post 3.0

Possibly, but Comprido was in all his camps as well

Not head coaches.

Nelson will run the camp. Phone Post 3.0

I wonder if Paulson will stay away just in case Barnett gets the fight.

Nelson is a great coach though.

Imagine Brock training at Jackson's with Arlovski, Jones etc Phone Post 3.0

Never gonna happen, from all accounts Brock is not a team player and needs to have a team built around HIM. He's got the cash to spare so he'll probably bring in coaches and training partners who cater to him specifically.

When I was training at the Academy, I was literally a nobody in the fighter's training sessions, but Lesnar made it a point to learn my name and was never too busy to say "hi," to me. He even had some high school wrestler from North Dakota that he brought in for a week and he asked me to work with him. He was always early for practice, always put his work in, and never interrupted group sparring sessions if he needed to run off to the bathroom or adjust equipment.

One of the problems I noticed at the Academy was that people started showing up for the training sessions just to see Lesnar and talk to the guy afterwards or even between rounds. I understood why he packed up and moved his entire camp out to Alexandria. He wanted the privacy and the intense focused attention that would benefit him the most at camp. If more MMA fighters had the money, I am sure more of them would do it like Lesnar.

From all accounts, Lesnar takes good care of everyone in his camp. I hear that his operation is very professional. He seems to be an intensely private individual who tries to be in sole control of any information about him. I think that was at the heart of the friction with Greg Nelson -who is extremely loose, relaxed, and even chatty about anything with pretty much anyone.

Glad to hear that he is back with Greg because I thought he grew the most under his tutelage. I don't like his prospects against Hunt, because Hunt is a top-flight fighter who has been very active during Lesnar's entire time off. Hopefully Lesnar will have a solid plan B and plan C in place if he is unable to put Hunt on the mat.

Great post. That's another advantage to being at the big-time camps (AKA, Jacksons, ATT) where that stuff can be a bit more managed. The private facilities make sense as a way around it, as well.

Lesnar already said that it will be Marty Morgan again

Not sure he mentioned Nelson at all.

They really need a top notch striking coach though, he's not going to become some great striker in a month but they need someone to train him on defense and how to transition from striking defense to his wrestling game.

Greg Nelson is far better for that than Morgan is but the best bet is to hire someone outside of MN in the MMA game. MN is not in short supply of wrestling based coaches but it is in striking ones.

He's got the money, bring in a Mark Henry or maybe Mark DellaGrotte for the 4 weeks.

He should try doing some sparring. Then maybe he'll improve. Phone Post 3.0

He's not going to become a great striker in 6 weeks. Morgan will get his wrestling back up to par. He should use Nelson, though. Re-sharpen his top game.

I said he wasn't going to be a great striker in that time, but he can become a little better defensively. He needs guys throwing at him. How to deal with a monster throwing bombs?....turtling up and shying away isn't going to cut it against a guy like Hunt...he needs work on striking defense, head movement, footwork, timing and confidence

His wrestling training should mostly consist of takedowns off of an exchange or punch thrown. He can out wrestle Hunt rolling out of bed with a hangover..lets be realistic and Mark could KO Lesnar the same. If Brock gets him down solid without any kind of scramble...it's over. Mark will get busted for rummaging through Brock's strawberry patch.

Of course he will train top game and GNP but that's not where he needs help. The focus should be on shortcomings

Lesnar looks much better when Nelson is his head coach.
