Lets Get It On MMA New Canadian Tournament

Let's Get It On MMA is a new MMA promotion being brought to you by Elaine McCarthy.

2010 promises to be an exciting year for Canadian Mixed Martial Arts. Commencing in the early spring Let's Get It On MMA will launch a series of 9 shows which will pit the West versus the East in a bold new MMA tournament format. 5 shows will be held at the River Cree Resort and Casino in Alberta and 4 shows will be held at the Casino Lac-Leamy in Quebec, and these provinces will be the proving grounds to see which fighter has what it takes to be the best in Canada.

This won't be your average MMA production where the only exposure a fighter gets will be a few minutes of competition in the cage. Our unique partnership with CHCH will showcase fighters inside the cage as well as going behind the scenes to allow the fans to see fighters up close and personal as they live and train for their sport. This is reality TV at its best.

If you've always wanted to be a rising star both in and outside of the cage, here is your chance. If you are a Canadian fighter and have both dynamic skills and personality then LGIO is looking for you.

In the upcoming weeks there will be more information coming out about this bold new MMA promotion commencing with several major media announcements.

Right now, we're looking for a few good fighters.

If you think you have what it takes to be the best in Canada then contact us at:

Sometimes I think a 13 year old kid has hacked pavelich's account.

Pavelich is such a douchebag in Canadian MMA, he has to jump on EVERY other promotions threads be it KOTC, TFC these new guys etc. Pavelich is the one who makes the MFC look bad with his idiotic posts reeking of hurt ego.

Competing for sponsors, fighters and fans is a legitimate business activity.

Coming on here and shit talking another promotion and the fans is sadly what people have come to expect from the Maximum Fighting UG account.

It's too bad, because I think MFC offers a good product and I think I am smart enough to decide where I put my dollars. I also think Edmonton is big enough to support two promotions.

But Pavelich thinks anybody who disagrees with him on anything is an idiot. Way to talk about your customers...

river cree casino seems to be a busy location for events.. with Both LGIO and mfc in the same venue with so many in edmonton? what makes the place so special?

I dont think the MFC is there anymore though...are they? I also remember they got fucked by the Windspear and dont remember the final outcome of that.

nahh ive seen thier shows and im pretty sure MFC is based in the river cree casino..

The MFC is hosting shows at the Edmonton Expo Centre now...they needed a bigger venue and the River Cree couldn't fit anymore additional seating.

And there we have it.

I look forward to a great tournament no matter the drama. I think it is going to do a lot for Canadian MMA and think it is a GREAT concept. I am going to do everything I can to get on this tournament and be a part of it. At the end of the day the sport is made up of fighters and this will be a great avenue for some guys to get some great exposure and experience.

I think competition makes people and things better. If you were ALWAYS the best in the world you would not train harder or work to make yourself better. The more companies in Edmonton and MMA in general will only push eachother to put out a better product and thus excel the sport. Only my thoughts and I do get hit in the head for a living so take it for what you want.

Ryan "The Kid" McGillivray

sounds good kid looks like ill see you ther 2 bro your the best man looking forward...

If you didn't want to be called a douchebag... don't you think you'd make an attempt to not act like one, and therefor hopefully be called one?

I guess we see the MFC's true colors once again.

Anyway, I'm all for new promotions creating more fights, and think this "behind the scenes" look at MMA could do alot for Canada.

Side-note: I thought the MFC left the River Cree because they were no longer "welcome" there. Not because they wanted a bigger venue, which did end up happening.

I personally know that at no time did the River Cree say the MFC was not welcome there. And I'm not just defending the MFC...I just happen to of been privy to information and I know for a fact they wanted them to stay.

Pavelich's giant grade 4 ego will ALWAYS get him the disrespect he deserves lol

LOL do you people realize that there is 9 different promotions in Edmonton? do you think EDMONTON alberta is such a hot bed. We "Pavelich Sports" make it look easy and it really isn't. At times I think we should be flattered by how many shows are in Edmonton but really its getting annoying.

People are getting confused with what the good product is and what shit mma is.

and the Big John thing is hilarious, instead of putting on a show in his hometown were he succesfully runs his gym, and could have a great turn out he comes to Edmonton, why? because we make it look easy.

9 shows. I dont think there is 9 shows in the rest of Canada.

Can you please define shit mma? And why you would think this fight organization would be placed in that category?

I'm also kind of confused how state the high number of promotions in Edmonton, but then infer it is in fact NOT a hotspot. Clear that up?

Claude Patrick - river cree casino seems to be a busy location for events.. with Both LGIO and mfc in the same venue with so many in edmonton? what makes the place so special?
They are smart and know that MMA and casinos go hand in hand. Both the promotion and the venue make a profit. Having the promotion do all the leg work to bring people in is a bonus.

So you have a promotion putting the fights together and organizing the event and then you have the venuw offering the place as well as alcohol sales etc and getting the spin off with hotels and gambling.

This is a tried and true formula for starting shows and shows that want to make money. When it gets too big you can branch out.

I'd be really suprised if there are more then 2 shows in Edmonton come 2011.

KOTC doesn't count.

Hope this tournament thing works out and gets some exposure though. sounds exciting and different.
