Lets talk cheap guns- Cobra, Hi Point, Rock Island

Armory.

I've been eyeing this Rock Island Armory M5 12 gauge. I like this one at the link, I dig the brushed nickle finish but its $230. You can find them all black for under $200.

Who has any cheap guns list them here.

Hi PT .380 $109 - http://www.slickguns.com/product/hi-pt-cf-380-2tone-poly-35-8rd-12995

Cobra .380 - $103 - http://www.slickguns.com/product/cobra-ent-fs380-380acp-stn-nkl-blk-10643

Savage Arms 12 gauge (Wally World special) $172 - http://www.slickguns.com/product/savage-arms-arms-320-sec-12185-pistol-grip-19032

Plenty of mixed reviews on these, obviously gun snobs dislike them.

Your thoughts.

I Have a Rock Island 1911 and I think it is pretty damn good for the $$$.

I try to not buy cheap guns.  If they fail you could get seriously hurt.  I would rather pay the extra money for the piece of mind.  Having said that, a have a friend with a RI 1911 and loves it.

I wouldn't put Rock Island in the same category as Hi Point...

Good info.

I don't think OP should put Rock Island in the same category as Hi-Point or Cobra.

Inexpensive yes. Cheap no. Phone Post

Hi Point pistols? Yes. Hi Point Rifles? Actually, believe it of not they're not too bad at all. Phone Post 3.0

I'd like some info on Cobra, anyone own or owned one, or know someone that has owned one? I don't necessarily want one, but I'm curious if they're pure and utter shit, or halfway decent. Phone Post 3.0

I am gonna go get one of those 12 gauges tomorrow.

I may pick up a cobra 380 tomorrow. Ill report back. Phone Post

Thank you for the website, ordering this tomorrow morning.

They sucked, I got dropped n when plastic on grip broke, gun couldn't shoot because a spring couldn't attach!! Serious pos... If your not a criminal or hitman or some shit I see no need to buy such a cheap gun Phone Post 3.0

I have a hi-point 9mm carbine and love it. Really fun to shoot. Phone Post

Rock Island - good

Cobra, Hi-point- bad

Only half decent thing Hi point ever did is the carbine and its questionable. Phone Post 3.0

Agreed and voted up.

Rock Island Armory produces inexpensive guns.

HiPoints are fucking perp guns, as any cop will tell you.

Stuart Scott's Eyeball - I don't think OP should put Rock Island in the same category as Hi-Point or Cobra.

Agreed, I've had 2 hi points, a carbine and a9mm, both were utter crap. Certainly not a gun I'd want to have to depend on. Phone Post
