Lifting weights imprved your game?

Does anybody have any stories about how lifting weights improved their game? If so what parts of your game were improved and how long before you noticed the improvment?

lifting has helped me, I only started a couple of weeks ago, doing 4-5 sets of 8 reps, I have noticed I have a lot more endurance, I can keep on attacking or escaping and not have to stop and rest like I normally do.

Lifting is good but not if you put on too much mass. If you get too big you get tired a lot faster and you become less flexible especially in your shoulders. At least that has been my experience.
