i'll post the heavyweights tomorrow

i guess no one disagrees with my list

I would dispute quite a few of those rankings. For one thing Sobral has a pretty recent win over Horn. Granted it was at the end of tourny but most people are of the opinion Renato had a more difficult path to the finals.

The top three are pick 'em spots so although I would change the order I wont bother to argue it. Henderson is a bit high. I would put Rampage and Chuck ahead of him. I also think it is kind of silly to A guy like Sobral ahead of tito. Yes he has lost two fights but to two of the top guys in the world. Renato has lost to Randleman and chuck.

I also think you naming a "world champion" is a bit silly. It is just the guy you think is the #1 guy so just have him ranked #1. Unlike the other championships you list it isn't real and fo from undisputed.

"I would dispute quite a few of those rankings. For one thing Sobral has a pretty recent win over Horn. Granted it was at the end of tourny but most people are of the opinion Renato had a more difficult path to the finals."

yes, this is true but, Horn's record since losing to Sobral is 3-0-1...Sobral's record since winning over Horn is 0-0-0. Staying busy keeps your ranking from dropping

"Henderson is a bit high. I would put Rampage and Chuck ahead of him."

good point...but, Rampage has lost to Silva by TKO...Hendo lost by close decision...Rampage beat Busta but he nearly lost...Hendo KO'd Busta...it's close but i think Hendo deserves to be higher

"I also think it is kind of silly to A guy like Sobral ahead of tito. Yes he has lost two fights but to two of the top guys in the world. Renato has lost to Randleman and chuck."

Tito just got his booty spanked twice in a row(no pun intended)...that alone will drop a fighter fast...and Chuck is good but Chuck lost to Horn and Horn lost to Sobral...again, it's close but i feel Sobral deserves to be higher...Chuck also lost big to Rampage.

"I also think you naming a "world champion" is a bit silly. It is just the guy you think is the #1 guy so just have him ranked #1. Unlike the other championships you list it isn't real and fo from undisputed."

your obviously making an assumption here...my "world champions" are based on a linear title...it is not the guy i think is #1...below(next post), is the linear title history...

(from latest issue of GRAPPLING by Todd Hester)
Q: Who was your toughest fight ever?

V: Without a doubt, Dan Henderson. He is one tough guy. Just ask Bustamante how tough Henderson is. Anyone who fights him better bring their lunch and a couple of snacks. He'll stay right in front of you, come right at you, and not back down an inch.

Kondo should definitely be there. He's coming off of KO's over Kikuta and Sperry. No way Machida should be there. Franklin's wins in the UFC were against non top 10 LHW's in Tanner and Dewees. Franklin did also be Eastman in WFA. Henderson shouldn't be ahead of Jackson and Liddell. Liddell beat more top opponents than any other fighter in the LHW top 10. Jackson of course made the GP Final and beat Liddell in the semis. Before the GP Jackson stopped Vovchanchyn and Randleman.

Peter P

Pretty solid rankings and for the most part I agree, but the couple places I disagree are pretty big.

First of all, calling Vitor #1 is silly. If you're gonna designate a world champ at this point it has to be Vanderlei. Doing rankings is not a math problem.

2nd, Tito is way too low. A couple big losses and I can understand, people are jumping off the bandwagon..but this is a guy who DOMINATED everyone he fought for a few years, and his only recent losses have come to top 5 fighters...Randy who is just an all around badass, and Chuck, who was simply a bad matchup for Tito. I actually think Tito is a better fighter overall than Chuck, but Chuck has his #.

Move Vitor down a couple spots, move Tito up ahead of Horn, and put Kondo in at #10 instead of Machida and then you're right on.
