Linux Printing Issue

Hey guys, hope everyones friday is going great.

I have a LAN setup like this:

Server, running SAMBA and CUPS to provide printing to some windows XP machines. I have a laser printer (non-networked) hooked up to the parallel port of the server.

When I'm trying to print 20 page excel spreadsheet files, it only prints somewhere between 15-17 of the pages. The file prints fine if the printer is attached locally to any of the machines. It's a 16k file. I can print 15 or less, but if I go more, it starts screwing up.

As far as I know, this just started happening recently. No major changes as of late.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

might be a buffer size issue. Probably a conf file somewhere where you can change the buffer size of the print que.

ttt for somebody who knows. I have never used CUPS, so I can't help you here.

Kubiak - I'll check the buffer size in the conf file, thanks.
