lol @ Uno / Tibau size difference

Naw, Uno's time is just over.

'96 debut, dude.

Sadly, you are correct.

Always been a big Uno fan but he should consider retirement. At this point he's getting close to being a C-level LW and that makes me sad.

Oh, and Tibau is getting pretty scary. He's massive for the division and he's just starting to hit his stride skills-wise at age 26.

 What were their weigh-in weights?

Tibau would be on a 5 fight winning streak if not for the Guillard robbery

WTF Tibau looks as big as Thiago Alves

keep in mind uno did well vs aoki

 weights? and when?

Completely controlled with zero offense= did well

orcus -  Uno looked a little smaller than usual, and Tibau has always been absurdly huge.

Agreed on both counts.

It's funny, because with the blackout, I figured they only had time for 1 short prelim. Then we see Uno dwarfed by Tibau, and I thought unless Uno gets a flash submission, this is gonna be ugly. Brutal, tough loss for Uno, and as a big Uno fan, a hard one to stomach.

BROTHER WISDOM - WTF Tibau looks as big as Thiago Alves

That's what's fascinating. Alves is always said to be huge at 170, but Tibau is listed as 5'10" to Alves's 5'9" and looks almost as thick.

Alves has a "deep" chest or more barrel chested - need a side shot to see it - and his legs are thicker.

Uno isn't as bad as he looked tonight. Tibau is just way bigger and a very talented guy at 155. Uno is tiny for that division.

Today, yes, he is.

He couldnt get past Tibau, Camoes or Fisher. Neither are top LWs.

Other than a stylistic favourable matchup against Ishida, he hasnt had a good fight since his loss to Hansen iirc.

Going by looks alonge, these guys should be fighting in two weightclasses apart.

UNO was the #1 LW in the world in the late 90's what are you talking about grenade.

he inherited the #1 title from rumina sato.

Not sure if they did the second weigh-in, but if they did it was scheduled to be at 10am.  So at 10am Tibau would have been at 169 (156+13), and then added another up to 2lbs of water per hour heading into his 8PM fight.  So even with the double weigh-in 185-189 would have been easily attainable.

grenade - p.s. he lost to a freakin Kid Yamamoto who is a natural BW FFS. Uno never was good.

he got cut in the Yamamoto fight..it happens.

he was never good? Yeah, okay slappy.

Uno proved he still had it when he beat the shit out of hansen until he decided to look at the clock.
